The NSW Government offers the following incentives for you to install solar hot water systems or 5 star gas systems.

• $300 for a gas hot water system with a 5 star or higher energy rating
• $300 for a solar or heat pump hot water system eligible for at least 20 Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs)

From 20 February 2010, the Federal rebate on solar hot water systems is reduced from $1,600 to $1,000 and the rebate on heat pump systems is reduced from $1,000 to $600.
