Queensland Solar Hot Water Rebate

From 20 February 2010, the Federal rebate on solar hot water systems is reduced from $1,600 to $1,000 and the rebate on heat pump systems is reduced from $1,000 to $600.

Water heating is the largest single source of greenhouse gas emissions from the average Australian home, accounting for around 25 per cent of home energy use (excluding the family car). Installing a climate friendly hot water system can save a family up to $700 off their energy bills each year.
